Brain Imaging Research Studies

Two brain imaging studies are being conducted to learn more about the roles of

two brain chemical (serotonin and dopamine) in obsessive-compulsive disorder (aGO)

and Tourette's syndrome. People with aGO, people with Tourette's syndrome, people

with aGO and Tourette's syndrome, and healthy people without aGO and without

Tourette's syndrome, ages 18 to 70 years are needed to participate in this brain imaging

research study performed at The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and supported by the

National Institutes of Health and is approved by TSA National.

Participants will be asked to take part in 1) comprehensive physical, psychological, psychiatric,

and neurological examinations, 2) positron emission tomography (PET)

scans and 3) a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan.

Participants will receive compensation for participating in a study.  There are some resources available

for transportation, lodging, meals and reimbursement to subject volunteers for time spent in study participation.
